The policy we offer is provided by Highway, Part of LV= and is the only motorhome insurance policy that we arrange. It is suitable for UK residents, and who use their motorhome mainly for holiday and leisure purposes as it excludes business use. Cover for commuting to and from your regular place of work can easily be arranged and, in many cases, this can be added for no additional cost.
Northern Ireland is, of course, the the only part of the UK that has a land border with another EU country and Highway have taken care of this issue by providing you with a special extension that allows temporary cover for use in the Republic of Ireland that is included for all Northern Ireland resident campervan insurance clients at no additional cost. You can therefore go over the border every day or for longer trips. This extension is only available to Northern Ireland residents whose main place of residence is Northern Ireland.
All of the other standard and optional covers provided by the policy are exactly the same as for the rest of the UK.
For lower value campervans and motorhomes, up to £5,000 sum insured, you can decide to choose third party fire and theft cover. This cover option is also restricted mileage, up to 12,000 miles a year with discounts for lower mileages.
You can choose comprehensive motorhome insurance for motorhomes and campervans up to £80,000 sum insured. For higher value motorhomes, £50,000 and more, you’ll need an active professionally fitted tracker, kept in operation.
This is a restricted mileage policy and the maximum annual mileage is 12,000 miles, or you can specify a lower mileage for a generous discount.
Both Comprehensive and TPFT cover for Northern Ireland motorhomes and campervans provide access to a dedicated 24hr/365 days a year claims service from Highway’s own UK based motor claims team.
